Woodland Theatre Workshop

We welcomed Bute Youth Theatre's very own Charlie Hindley out to the forest to lead a woodland theatre workshop. During this workshop, the children played different games to get their creativity flowing and collected natural materials from the beach and the forest to look at what words they could use to describe them. Charlie then went on to read some famous nature poems and teach us about rhyming couplets before the young people went on to make their own. They then used these new skills to write their very own poem inspired by the natural world around them.

Charlie took sections of each poem and expertly crafted them into one that we can share with you here, with each child reading their own part!

A Moss Wood Poem

This poem was made by Angus, Cosy, Erinae, Marguerite, Morghan, Preston and Robin!
