Appropriate channels for effective workers’ voice

• Regular one-to-one meetings with line managers, team meetings and informal discussions provide opportunities for staff to raise issues, share ideas and contribute to organisational development.

• Staff are encouraged to participate in discussions and planning relating to the organisation’s activities and priorities.

• We maintain appropriate policies and procedures to support staff in raising concerns or reporting suspected wrongdoing.

Investment in workforce development

• Bute Community Land Company recognises the importance of investing in the skills, knowledge and development of its workforce.

• Learning and development needs are discussed with staff and considered alongside the organisation’s strategic priorities, ensuring that development opportunities support both individual and organisational needs.

• Staff are encouraged and supported to undertake relevant formal and informal learning and professional development.

• Where appropriate, the organisation will support the costs of training, professional development and relevant professional memberships or subscriptions.

No inappropriate use of zero-hours contracts
